Leave the prompt open in a browser window- open a new document in whatever browser you want and type your response there.  You'll be copying your response into a Google Classroom Assignment for submission

Crafting a thesis statement

This continues our work with  Secretary of State Madeline Albright's 1997 spech from the  2018 AP Exam.  Hopefully you've still got your annotated copy, and/or your notes.

Revise your introduction from lst week, specifically looking at your theisis. I've returned those to you so you have access again.

Constructing Sophisticated Conclusions

Complete the video- near the end there's a sample for which Mrs. Valaitis gives potential conclusions.  When you pause the video, you can read that essay here.

Complete the "Stylistic Choices" 
Multiple Choice Assessment

Print (if  you can) and complete the Exam Day Checklist.  (If you can't print, make a new document or write your responses to the questions in a safe place)

Log into AP Classroom and complete the Quiz titled "Stylistic Choices" before Friday at 11:45 pm:
3 passages, 3 questions each.  

Take your time, do your best.  I'e given you access to the answers, so be sure to use the right anwsers to learn from- what makes the right answers right and the worng answers wrong?

Note: This exam uses the same Secure Lockdown Browser technology that will be used on your AP Exam on 5/20.  You will likely have to download/install LockDown Browser using the link they give you, or just use this one. It's a good trial-run for the real deal. Make sure everything is installed properly.
Here's a step-by-step on installing it.

Do all of this by Friday 5/8.  Budget your time as you see fit.

Get ready for the lesson by downloading  this resource- Secretary of State Madeline Albright's 1997 spech from the  2018 AP Exam.  Print it if you can. 

Watch the instructional video about the analysis essay.  You can skip ahead to 14:34 for instruction, or you can watch the whole thing- the first part is about the exam administration and the schdule of resources that Collegeboard will be putting up.  We'll do some, but not all of these lessons.

(HINT: Exigence means the need-often urgent-  for the occassion)
